SWL staff head to the Royal Welsh

Scottish Woodlands Ltd staff will be out in force at the UK's largest rural show as the Royal Welsh kicks off next week.

The event, described as "the pinnacle of the British agricultural calendar", takes place at the Royal Welsh Showground at Builth Wells. Powys, from Monday 22nd-Thursday 25th July.

Michael Hall, the SWL Director who covers Wales, where the company trades as Flintshire Woodlands, said: "It's really important to be at the Royal Welsh as it is such a significant event for the rural community. It's a tremendous opportunity to meet clients old and new, and to find out what's going on in the wider rural world."

Mr Hall will attend the show with Gareth Owen, SWL's Regional Manager for England & Wales, and three Senior Forest Managers based in the company's Flintshire Woodland office in Chirk, North Wales - Charles Gittins, Alastair Squire and David Crozier, as well as Carol Shone, Office Manager at Chirk.

The SWL team will be completed by Forest Managers Jillian Kennedy and Doug Scott, and Dafydd Powell, Assistant Forest Manager.

Mr Hall added: "We have a wide range of staff at the Royal Welsh across the four days to ensure we can answer a variety of queries about the world of forestry and wood. Inquiries can range from people wanting to invest in forestry, or finding out how to create new woodland, or how to go about harvesting trees on their land. They might want advice on the grants system and application process or just to find out more about Scottish Woodlands and the wide range of services we provide."

Emma Menmuir, who coordinates Scottish Woodlands' attendance at rural shows, said: "Scottish Woodlands Ltd will be based at Stand 807 FOR at the Royal Welsh and our staff would love visitors to come along and have a chat - about forestry and wood, or anything and everything to do with the rural world."
