Scottish Woodlands staff complete 120-mile challenge in aid of Mountain Rescue

20 staff from our Dumfries, Fenwick and Ballymena office took part in the Run, Forester Run challenge. The conditions on the day were gruelling and included a weather warning for storm Lillian - good old Scottish Summer!

Andy MacLachlan, Regional Manager - South West Scotland for Scottish Woodlands Ltd, said:

"Despite challenging weather conditions, the team successfully completed our challenge across the 120 miles in good spirits and thoroughly enjoyed the chance to catch up with colleagues from across the region and undertake the activities as a team, while raising funds for such an important charity supporting rural communities. The changeable weather conditions experienced in more exposed and remote sections of the route were an important reminder of the value in being prepared and having robust emergency plans when operating in our rural locations. This is something I am sure Scottish Mountain Rescue would be happy to help with anyone seeking advice to learn more and stay safe while enjoying the countryside."

See below names of those who took part in the day and what section they completed (+ 3 dogs!)

Everyone completed their section, even if they were a bit soggy by the end of it and we didn’t have to call Mountain Rescue for help.
