Scottish Woodlands Sponsors 'Rural Rising Star Award' at Helping it Happen Awards 2024


Scottish Woodlands Ltd is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 'Rural Rising Star Award' at the upcoming Helping it Happen Awards 2024, organised by Scottish Land & Estates.


The Helping it Happen Awards celebrate the remarkable contributions of individuals, businesses, and organisations to the sustainability and vibrancy of rural Scotland. The 'Rural Rising Star Award', sponsored by Scottish Woodlands, recognises emerging talents who are making significant impacts in rural sectors.

The finalists for the Rural Rising Star Award, sponsored by Scottish Woodlands, are:


1. Iona Smith - Working towards becoming a Chartered Surveyor and involved with on and offshore renewable projects.
2. Charlie Davis - An experienced land manager advising rural businesses on sustainable management of the natural environment.
3. Sophie Handley - Leading The Estates Office in Argyll, specialising in high-calibre services to land and estate owners.
4. Wallace Currie - A lecturer in Agriculture at SRUC, integral in creating innovative teaching models in agriculture.


The Helping it Happen Awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 2 October, at The Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa in Edinburgh.
