Scottish Woodlands North-East Charity Challenge for Scottish Mountain Rescue

Scottish Woodlands North-East Charity Challenge for Scottish Mountain Rescue

Scottish Mountain Rescue represents 25 volunteer Mountain Rescue Teams in Scotland. Their 850 volunteers respond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. As our staff and sub-contractors predominantly work in rural situations, Scottish Woodlands are acutely aware of the value of Scottish Mountain Rescue.

Staff from our North-East Region are taking on a huge challenge in order to raise funds and support the Charity. On the 9th of September, a team of volunteers from our North-East Region offices will take part in a “Summit to Sea” challenge. They will cycle, run and walk from the top of Mount Battock, eventually finishing up on Aberdeen Beach. The route will incorporate Clachnaben and North Deeside Way, totalling 53.3km.
